Recipes From North America
These recipes came from an old cookbook I found at a flea market. There was no publishing date. I will continue to add recipes until all are entered. ....Enjoy!

Canada:
Blueberry Pudding
4 c. fresh blueberries
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. gran. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. oatmeal, (quick cooking)
1/4 c. butter
Toss blueberries with granulated sugar and lemon juice. Beat butter with brown sugar until blended and fluffy. Stir in flour and oatmeal. Sprinkle mixture over blueberries. Bake 375 degrees, 30 min. or until top is golden brown and blueberries are cooked. Cool, serve slightly warm with cream, or ice cream.

Mexico:
Mexican Tallerine
2 lbs. ground beef
2 garlic buds
2 tsp. chili powder
2 cans whole kernel corn (or one if you prefer)
1 c. tomato soup (diluted with 1/2 can water)
2 large onions
1/2 green pepper
salt and pepper to taste
1 c. rotel tomatoes
1 large pkg. fine noodles
2 lbs. American cheese (or less)
Boil noodles. Brown meat, onion, and green peppers. Add chili powder, garlic, salt and pepper. Line a greased pan with 1/2 noodles. Add the meat mixture. Cover with corn, 1/2 cheese, noodles. Add rest of meat mixture, corn, noodles, 1/2 of cheese, and pour diluted soup and tomatoes over all. Bake in slow oven, 250 deg. for 1 1/2 hrs. to 2 hours. Cover with remaining cheese and brown.

United States:
Dixie Pork Chops
8 pork chops
4 tart apples, cut in rings
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 c. seedless raisins
salt to taste
1/2 tsp. sage
Brown pork chops in fat; sprinkle with salt, and sage. Place pork chops in baking dish. Top with apple rings; sprinkle with sugar. Add flour to fat in skillet. Add 1 c. hot water, vinegar. Cook until thickened. Add raisins; pour over chops in baking dish. Bake uncovered in moderate oven, 350 degrees for one hour.
